Meet Amanda:

Hi there! I'm glad you found my page! I'm Amanda Priddy-Slyter. I'm a mother of three and a versatile professional with a diverse background that spans several dynamic industries. My journey has been both fulfilling and eclectic, allowing me to gain valuable insights and skills that are applied in my current roles.

I'm originally from Arizona, but grew up in Northeast Texas, so yes,  I'm a "Southern Girl from Texas." Starting my career as a Restaurateur right out of high school over two and a half decades ago and marrying my first husband right out of high school, I developed a deep understanding of operations management and top-notch customer experience. I owned and operated half a dozen "mom and pop" independent restaurants for 10 years. This experience taught me how to create an inviting atmosphere while ensuring efficiency and quality in every aspect of the business.

I transitioned into my lifelong passion for aviation, starting as Bookkeeper / Office Manager at an aircraft maintenance and rental company and then as an Operations & Office Manager / Executive Assistant for a lightsport distribution company at an airport while pursuing my FAA private pilot license, going through a divorce, and raising three children. I embrace the challenges of soaring through the skies, where safety and precision are paramount, and strong decision-making skills are essential.

While managing multiple restaurants across multiple states, working in the aviation industry, becoming a pilot and flying every chance I could, pursuing my education, and raising children, I dedicated a portion of my time networking and serving the community with services such as life coaching, professional organizing, personal assistant, and freelance paralegal support for solo attorneys.

I've pursued a diverse educational background to equip myself with the knowledge and skills necessary for my various roles. I hold an Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies with minors in Criminal Justice and Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology. Additionally, I have earned dozens of certificates across legal, psychology, education, medical, administration, and business fields, enhancing my versatility and expertise.

In 2013, I made a pivotal shift back to Texas, specifically the DFW area, and fully transitioned into the legal field, starting my career as an Independent Freelance Paralegal. During this time, I gained experience in various areas of law and have worked with dozens of attorneys. After rebranding my business a few times and remarrying, I established the business name Slyter Legal Solutions, LLC and decided to stick with this name for my company going forward. My company operates and has always operated independently and is not owned by anyone else or any other company.

As a Legal Consultant, I collaborate closely with attorneys across various legal areas, assisting clients in navigating the often-complex legal landscape. My primary focus is on litigation and trial work in state and federal courts, including civil and criminal cases. Recently, I’ve also expanded my support to include probate matters. (See all of my legal services here.)

Although I typically don't work on family law cases, I became a certified mediator in 2022 to help pro-se families in conflict find common ground and facilitate resolutions in a supportive environment. As a parental alienation survivor, I recognize the impacts of parental alienation and advocate for parents to understand the significance of their actions. Additionally, I continue to offer occasional life coaching, empowering individuals to achieve their goals and unlock their potential.

In April 2025, I founded a Non-Profit Cat Rescue aimed at rescuing and rehoming kittens in need, fostering a compassionate community. Please support us at www.FindYourForeverKitten.com
